Guitars Save Lives is Back!
An evening of rocking music and conversation with the New Note Strummers and guests.
There is also the chance to win a brand new Fender guitar signed by Madness and Paul Weller. Every ticket sold will be entered into the draw.
The New Note Strummers will be performing a selection of well loved classics in their own unique style. They will be joined by special guest ‘Franksy’ and ‘Chrissy Boy’ from Madness.
Franksy is a multi award winning tour manager for the Stone Roses, Rolling Stones, Madness and Coldplay to name just a few. He will be in conversation with journalist Jon Wilde to discuss music recovery from addiction and what it’s like to be on the road with some of the biggest bands in the world. Among Franksy’s highlights were Robbie Williams’ Knebworth concerts, the biggest live shows in UK history. He currently runs the artist liaison operation at Hyde Park and has worked with an incredible range of bands including the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, Neil Young, The Libertines, Tom Jones, Black Sabbath, Paul Weller, Elvis Costello, Moorhead, Lionel Richie, The Who, Stevie Wonder, Massive Attack, Mumford & Sons, Carol King, Take That. Join Fransky and journalist Jon Wilde as they delve into the often chaotic and debauched life of a rock and roll band on the road and find out how Franksy managed to find sobriety while remaining part of a world full of temptations.
Chrissy Boy will be presenting a guitar with signatures from Madness and Paul Weller to one lucky winner. Each entry ticket sold will be added to a draw, Chrissy Boy will pluck the winning ticket on the night.
The New Note Strummers are a 13 piece guitar group based in Brighton. Alongside their performance they will also be sharing unique stories about how the power of music has helped in their recoveries from addiction.
