Comic Relief Arts Cafe Takeover

Date:
Time:
Komedia Bath
22-23 Westgate Street Bath, BA1 1EP

FREE ENTRY – All donations gratefully received in support of Comic Relief!

Friday 15 March, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Head down to the Komedia Bath Arts Café for an afternoon of weird and wonderful challenges, activities and performances all in aid of Comic Relief.

Staff and friends at Komedia Bath are kindly giving up their time, skills and in some cases body hair (!) to hit our target of raising £1000 in one afternoon for this great charity, which is of course so close to our hearts.

There will be activities and performances all afternoon and with no entry fee, we encourage you to pop in whenever you can, see what lunacy is taking place and of course, donate whatever you can.

Highlights of the day’s events include:

**1:00pm**Sophie’s Dreads Be Gone: Our dear friend Sophie Oates having her dreadlocks cut off and her head shaved. Sophie has rocked her dreads for 7 long years, so don’t miss the chance to see them for the last time, chop one off yourself and have a chuckle at her newly naked head!  Donations can be made in advance via Sophie’s JustGiving page HERE or on the day at the venue.

**2:00pm** Sam’s Mega Wax: Our Bar and events manager Sam Pound will be going through the excruciating ordeal of a full body wax, at the merciless hands of Duty Manager Sveta Antonova. Known for having not much hair on his head, Sam is surprising hairy elsewhere… but not for much longer! Don’t let his pain be in vain – make sure you support & donate (you can even pull a wax strip off yourself, for a handsome fee…!)

**3:00pm** Beat the Pole Dancer: Show-off your newly-learned pole dancing skills, or lack thereof, in this interactive challenge against the expert crew from Funky Monkey Studio! First trainee will be our in-house techie Tom Sworn!

Clowning & Circus performers will be wandering around as well as lead little spontaneous workshops for Kids.

There will also be special Comic Relief cakes – made by our Café Manager and baker-extraordinaire Robyn Northover – available to buy from the café, with all profits going to the charity.

Not to forget: Our head chef Marc will be cycling 100 miles for Comic Relief…

Live music by Philip White, as known from Jasper’s Lunchbox.
