Arthur Smith & Clare Ferguson-Walker: Two Poets and A Packet Of Crisps

EDGE STREET LIVE PRESENT: Arthur Smith & Clare Ferguson-Walker: Two Poets and A Packet Of Crisps

Two poets from different planets crash land onto stages across the U.K and Ireland, making a poetic and comedic show greater than the sum of its parts….(never ask a lady the sum of her parts) Expect poems, puns, laughter and tales from these two brilliant wordsmiths.

Arthur is a BBC regular, well known for his appearances on TV’s ‘Grumpy Old Men’, ‘Q.I.’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘The One Show’, Radio 4’s ‘Loose Ends’, ‘Balham Bash’, and host of Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club. He is a ‘Spirit of The Fringe’ award-winning Edinburgh Festival stalwart and Olivier nominated playwright for ‘An Evening With Gary Lineker’

CLARE IS UNIQUE. She is an award winning poet, comedienne, sculptor and singer.

Clare’s explosive second collection “Chrysalis” Published by Clockwork Moth, lays bare the poet’s soul and takes the reader on an intimate journey laced with humour and intelligent humane observation.

‘Hilarious, touching and incredibly clever’ Metro

‘Don’t know how Clare can get up on stage and be so effortlessly funny and engaging, I love her stuff’ Brian Bilston

What people are saying...

Fantastic comedy venue, very accommodating to my disability requirements. Never seen a bad comedy show there yet … really good up and coming acts.

What a superb venue. I have been several times. Always a warm welcome and a safe space to enjoy the artists that are more “left field” than other more mainstream venues.

Great time, bar staff were amazing. First time here and will definitely be back. Have been to many comedy clubs in Brighton and this has been the best so far!

Amazing experience with the Komedia staff. They have gone above and beyond to cater for my disabilities at a show on June 5th, making sure I am seated correctly and can easily access the area. Very rare experience nowadays. Thank you again for all your help!

Just the best place if you like comedy. The food is great, the show room cozy and personable. Excellent atmosphere every time. An amazing place to watch a live show. Highly recommended!

Always something interesting happening at Komedia. Probably the venue I find myself at most frequently due to the eclectic mix of acts, comedy, music, club nights, cabaret and random silliness! Feels like the heart of Brighton!

I had not been to this venue before and I have to say that I was very impressed… All the staff I encountered were friendly, helpful and cheerful. I will certainly return!!

This venue’s accessibility information on their website is outstanding. As an autistic wheelchair user it was so amazing to be able to see the layout/3D view of the whole venue… If more venues followed Komedia’s example the world would be a much better place!

We came here on the night of Brighton pride and had an amazing time. Lovely, clean venue with really friendly staff and saw it was clearly accessible.

Such a unique place you have such variety, they are really good at accommodating for the disabled. I loved the drag on a bus, 80’s night and more!! I keep coming back so they are doing something right.

I am happy to say that the customer service replied to my enquiry very quickly. They also have been very helpful and understanding.

Great show with great drinks and food – a fab Friday night, 100% recommend!
