Blow Up, the London club now in its 31st year returns to Brighton for the first time since the 1990s at the Komedia Friday 7th March 2025, a club event with Blow Up founder Paul Tunkin to DJ.
Blow Up, is a bona-fide legendary club night that was at the centre of the mid-nineties Britpop explosion, cited as the catalyst and birthplace of the Britpop scene and influencing the style and sound of a generation. Voted No.4 in Time Out’s Top Ten Clubs of the 90s, described as one of ‘5 Classic Clubs of Our Time‘ by Vox Magazine (alongside The Blitz, Shoom, The Roxy), ‘The club that changed the world’ (Melody Maker), “the breeding ground of the Brit Pop sound” (Time Out), “a Top Ten Britpop Moment”(NME). In July 2022 Time Out listed Blow Up as one of the greatest London clubs of the past 40 years.
